How to Get Oxytocin Right NOW
The Mike & Juliet Show was mostly an attack on Liquid Trust. The manufacturer refuses to say how much oxytocin is in the product, but it won't get into your body - or anyone else's -- if you spray it on your clothes or even skin.
There are plenty of ways to experience a natural oxytocin release without buying anything. In my book (The Chemistry of Connection, April 2009) I explain the oxytocin response, why we don't all have a healthy one, and talk about ways of building it up.
But all of us do have a hypothalamus and all of us do release oxytocin; without it, we'd die. To get the social benefits, try one or more of the following. If you can, set aside at least 15 minutes to do this and nothing else:
- Cuddle
- Sing in a choir
- Hold a baby
- Stroke a dog or cat
- Perform a generous act
- Pray
- Make love
- Have an orgasm (alone or with someone else)

Hi- I don't get that show where I live, but went to their site and dug around and found this video...
Is it the same episode you're discussing here, and if so - what happened to the person who took 100 times the recommended dose of Oxytocin?! :) The video ends at the commercial break and I don't see a part two anywhere)...

BTW, good job on this blog! :)

I have been blogging on my "social networking" site about oxytocin for quite awhile now. I just stumbled onto your blog. It's fantastic! I'm jealous, I had hoped to write a book, or at least an article, explaining oxytocin to the masses. I have recently begun dating someone new. I find myself bonding to him more and more each time we are together. Is there some way I can enjoy his company and not feel such an oxy-induced desire to own him? I want the pleasure and the company, I don't want love, or worse, false love, so soon. Thank you for this blog, and for any advice you can give me about enjoying oxytocin's benefits, without becoming a slave to its effects!

I am a very reserved person and feel like oxytocin could help open me up a bit. Is there anyway of getting oxytocin?

How much is the reccommended dose for oxytocin. How many times would 10 units/ml of it last? Thank you for your time,
Dylan

The dose they use in the trust experiments is 400 IU; IU are not the same as units/ml, and I am unclear on the math.
An oxytocin nasal spray is available via doctor's prescription in the UK, Canada and probably other countries, but not in the US. If you live in a country where it's available, you might be able to find a doc or psychiatrist willing to prescribe it for this off-label use.
You should be aware that the effects are mild. Usually, in the experiments, subjects can't tell whether they got oxytocin or placebo, even though it tends to affect their behavior. It's unclear how long the effects last. Experiments infusing oxytocin into the blood stream showed effects lasting several weeks, but none of the intranasal experiments have followed up with subjects.
The illegal drug ecstasy has also been shown to release oxytocin, that's probably why people report that feeling of deep connection with others.
If you can't get oxytocin through a doctor, I highly recommend you experiment with provoking a natural release in your brain. Many of the techniques I listed above have been shown in studies to evoke the oxytocin response. You can train your brain to do this!

I am an employee of THE BIOWET PULAWY Ltd. in Poland. We are trying to find out where we can buy OXYTOCINUM substance. We are looking for some companies producing this substance.Maybe You could help us.
Best regards

I'm afraid not. But if you do a search for companies that supply peptides for research, you'll find many reputable suppliers.

Tell us more! Did you use Liquid Trust or something else? What did you feel or notice?

Spraying oxytocin on cloths and expecting a positive emotional result is as lame as it is ludicrous. It must be injected, sniffed, or put under the tongue. To my knowledge there is only one over the counter Oxytocin formulation capable of doing this. It is a 12C homeopathic sublingual formulation available at www.oxy-tocin.com
What is homeopathy?
In the world as we know it, all matter vibrates. Everything! Every molecule has a vibrational signature. Our body has a vibrational signature. The facts show that substances are active at micro amounts of etheric (sub-atomic or Delton) levels. Trevor Cook, Ph.D. has detected subatomic activity in 23 different homeopathic remedies. Dr. Emilio de Guidici claims water molecules form structures capable of storing minute charges of electromagnetic signals. Dr. Wolfgang Ludwig, a German biophysicist has demonstrated that homeopathic substances give off measurable electromagnetic signals. That said, homeopathic dilutions are so diluted that there should be no more material than would normally exist in nature. For example, a 12 c oxytocin formulation is a dilution equivalent to 10 to the minus 24th power, which basically means it is lower than the Avogadro’s number (6.0221415 × 1023 ) the number of molecules on a mole or mass unit of material. By going below that number we have reduced the ratios to where there should be no molecular traces of the solution. From a traditional material dose this says this formula shouldn’t do anything, right?
Wrong. it does, because the body responds to the energy signature or vibrational characteristics that have been imparted into the carrier medium. Potencies lower than a 12 c will have a material dose so you are getting trace doses. And the body will respond to it, lifting the dosage higher. This extremely low dose makes it very safe for the kidney or the liver too process. No one has ever, EVER, been injured by a homeopathic dosage. Which is why the FDA has grandfathered in homeopathic doses of 6x or higher as being safe.
We tend to think the body is a mechanical device, or a chemical device, or an electrical device, and the truth of the matter is, our body is all of those things together. It is our separate disciplines (endocrinology, psychology, chemistry, fluid dynamics) that are trying to understand and define what we truly are from their limited discipline. What homeopathy is, is a science of restoring the energetic balance to the body. If you think of the body as a vibrating synergetic system, and when those vibrational characteristics become disturbed, sickness or dysfunction can result. The science of homeopathy is to restore that correct homeostasis.
Tuning fork; a metaphor for understanding homeopathy
A tuning fork (a sick body with a bad vibe) has drifted in pitch. When another tuning fork of perfect pitch is reintroduced to it, it will once again vibrate at the proper frequency. Granted, different patients need different combinations of tuning forks for given conditions. But, the homeopathic tool box is very broad.
For those of you who are not entirely convinced of the power of homeopathy, i bring your attention to the emergence of homeopathic treatments for flu and colds sold at all of the large Drugstore chains as they have been proven by market response to be as, if not more, effective than traditional remedies. For example, Boiron Oscillococcinum Natural Flu Relief is a homeopathic formulation sold in every chain drugstore in the world because it has been shown to reduce the onset of colds and flu by 50 percent. As these crossover products have proven.
In fact, researchers have concluded that homeopathics demonstrate “energies” and that water molecules have a stable, hexagonal, lattice system, like an invisible honeycomb. This “honeycomb” can hold homeopathic “energies” and can change he structural shape of the water molecule lattice pattern. Seccussing, or shaking, the homeopathic product seems to “transfer” the properties of the raw material to the water structure.
Benefits of homeopathic oxytocin
Homeopathics are safe and effective.
Because it is secreted by the pituitary gland, Oxytocin is not foreign to the body.
Medical studies show that small amounts of homeopathics taken at frequent intervals work better. This is one of the basic principles of homeopathy.
Homeopathic oxytocin does not interfere with other medications.
It is available over the counter; without prescription at a fraction of the price
Homeopathic Oxytocin gently encourages the pituitary to release its own oxytocin. This balancing act is called homeostasis.
The hand seccussion process makes the Oxytocin more potent or dynamic. Only use hand seccussed formulations.
The pituitary gland excretes Oxytocin at certain times, (the first 90 minutes of sleep: four am, during heavy exercise). Molecular Oxytocin must be injected at certain times to try and mimic the Oxytocin pulsing. Since homeopathic Oxytocin is serially diluted and potentized at successive levels, it continues to work in the body in a “time release” manner. It doesn’t matter when you take the homeopathic version. People could still get very good results if they wish to take Oxytocin at other than the suggested times.
The homeopathic theory of dilution and seccussion teaches that molecules can penetrate the cells more easily.
Since the inception of homeopathy in the late 1800’s no homeopathic remedy has ever been recalled because it harmed anyone.
Homeopathy is safe, effective and gentile and an FDA ruling in 1938 is a testament to these features. The FDA has no “official opinion on the efficacy of Homeopathics, other than concern with safety, purity, ingredients and claims.
Homeopathic factors seem to continue working in the body even when someone does not take them every day
Over 200 years of research in homeopathy seems to show that it creates gentile, positive chain reactions, which promote general health.

How much oxytocin is needed for it to be effective?
